About Two Rivers Circle of Mendota

A Cultural Community Rooted in History

History of Two Rivers Circle of Mendota.

The Two Rivers Circle of Mendota Community was established in Jan of 2026 following a significant organizational change within the Mendota Mdewakanton Dakota Tribal Community. After the changes, a new group was formed and the Two Rivers Circle Community was founded. They wished to preserve the 30 years of relationships, teachings, ceremonies and charitable work they believed in that had been started by Bob Brown and carried on by his sister Sharon Lennarston. A community of giving, sharing and respect for their Elders were the top priority of the new founding Circle.
